The firm was incorporated in 1973, and has historically specialized in design of public facilities. Names and successor corporate names are Baber, Cort and Wood, Wood and Cort, and for the past 25 years Cort Architectural Group, PA. The majority of the work the Firm performs is public work involving multiple prime and single prime contracts

Cort Architectural Group has added LEED Accreditation to its long list of sustainable building design qualifications. John Cort, Hamilton Cort, and Bruce Youngberg have earned LEED accredited professional status.  The firm is committed to 100% architectural design staff accreditation.  Accreditation will complement the firm’s leadership in sustainable focused design which includes the design and construction of numerous day-lit instructional spaces and passive solar buildings.
